Problem Solving Is the Real Job!

Yo Yo! Reader,

Sometimes a week can feel like a blur. You get to Friday and wonder was that progress, or just too busy? You’ve probably had those stretches where the wins don’t feel big enough, the setbacks feel heavier than they should, and you’re left questioning whether you actually moved the needle at all.

But here’s the twist: often, the real growth happens inside that mess. The slow weeks, the unexpected headaches, even the moments of doubt they’re not dead space. They’re the training ground.

And hidden inside those moments are some takeaways worth holding onto…

Let's chat!

BUT FIRST a couple of callouts!

Lessons from the week

Always plenty to take away each week. Whether we know it or not, these are the takeaways I have been able to list out from my reflection this week be it business and everything in between.

1. Zoom Out Before You Judge Progress
In the moment, it’s easy to feel like you didn’t get enough done. But when you step back and look at the bigger picture, you often realize you’ve actually moved forward more than you thought. Momentum shows itself over weeks and months not just in the daily grind.

2. Expect Bumps, Not Smooth Roads
Challenges will always pop up some will feel small, others like giant setbacks. Both are normal. What matters is not the size of the bump but how you respond to it. Resilience is built in the pivots.

3. Problem Solving Is the Real Job
No matter what business or life stage you’re in, the game is problem solving. Unexpected issues aren’t signs of failure; they’re invitations to adapt, create workarounds, and strengthen systems for the future.

4. Don’t Let Stress Stack Up
When personal setbacks (like illness or fatigue) combine with business challenges, it’s tempting to let stress pile on. Recognize the weight, but don’t let it dictate your actions. Reset, recharge, and keep moving.

5. Nervous + Excited = Growth Zone
ig opportunities often come wrapped in nerves. That tension between excitement and fear is a sign you’re stretching into new territory—lean into it instead of stepping back.

Howdy Reader, A year ago, I wrote about “catching a break” and back then, it was coming from a place of hope.I was in the thick of uncertainty, trying to convince myself that if I just kept pushing, something had to give. Now, a year later, I’ve realised something important: You don’t wait for a break... you become it. Reflecting from where I was last year... lower sales, lower revenue, lower profits... and feeling a squeeze. Here I am again 1 year later, with the feeling of being squeezed...

Howdy Reader, I am determined to see my dreams become a reality. One way or another and through the thick of it all. YOU SHOULD TOO! My dreams = my responsibilities. However every so often I have random backseat drivers drop their wise words of motivation like this... “For every one person who succeeds, a hundred thousand fail.” And they say it on the basis that due to this, I will likely fail, so why bother. TRULEY with an attitude like that, for sure we are going to fail. But those odds...
