it can be scary to start all over from 0

Yo! Reader,

Here we are! A week later and like it was just yesterday.

I hope you are doing well! I really do.

Me? Im good! Im excited and motivated to see what we can do in the next 365 days with the business.

But I would be lying if I was to say everything is just how I want it...

It is not.

Actually, I get scared every restart of a week, of a month and even more of a FY.

Last week we discussed the reflections of the FY and how to leverage it.

To echo that, I want to remind you that though we have many high HIGHS, there will also be low LOWS!

Also I want to remind you that though things are not always as we want, it doesn't mean they are not moving in the direction we want. Lets chat about it.

BUT FIRST:

🤷🏻‍♂️ Life & Thoughts

As I noted, it can be SUPER scary to start from 0 again... and even worse is when you seem to have lost momentum.

Maybe you are not to blame... maybe it is the weather, the timing, the season, the trends, the economy... all these different things...

So how do we handle it? How do we make it easier to digest? Try this... (note: this is a message to me)

📊 1. Metrics tell a story, but not the whole one.

  • It’s easy to obsess over numbers. Sales. Growth. Targets.
  • But numbers are feedback, not a verdict.
  • Zoom out and you might notice the bigger truth: you’re trending in the right direction.
  • Let data guide you... but don’t let it define you.

🔁 2. Trust the process (even when it's slow).

  • Some weeks feel chaotic. Others feel flat.
  • But underneath it all, your systems, habits, and reps are stacking.
  • You don’t always see it day to day... but it is compounding.
  • Think seasons not moments

🧠 3. Leverage what you already know.

  • If you’ve made it this far, it’s not by accident.
  • You’ve learned things. Built systems. Solved problems.
  • Don’t overlook the gold you’ve already mined—use it.
  • Reuse, refine, repeat. It’s not laziness. It’s leverage.

🧩 4. Things don’t need to be perfect to be right.

  • You might feel behind. You might feel unsure.
  • But “not where I want to be” isn’t the same as “not going anywhere.”
  • Keep your direction clear—even when the path isn’t.

Here’s my challenge to you this week:

  • What metrics will you track that actually matter?
  • Where are you forcing speed instead of building depth?
  • What tools, insights or lessons have you forgotten you already have?
  • What can you commit to continuing, even if it doesn’t feel exciting?

This year isn’t about proving anything to anyone.

It’s about building with intention... your pace, your way.

You don’t need all the answers to start.

Just start with what you already know.

You’ve got more than you think.

Business Snapshot for 2025 (currently):

FY25 DONE, here is the preliminary report, yet to be fully reviewed (may change +/- 5%).

  • with the addition of a new team member back in Oct/Nov 24 and then a Warehouse, I think all things considered it could have been a lot worse.

Howdy Reader, A year ago, I wrote about “catching a break” and back then, it was coming from a place of hope.I was in the thick of uncertainty, trying to convince myself that if I just kept pushing, something had to give. Now, a year later, I’ve realised something important: You don’t wait for a break... you become it. Reflecting from where I was last year... lower sales, lower revenue, lower profits... and feeling a squeeze. Here I am again 1 year later, with the feeling of being squeezed...

Howdy Reader, I am determined to see my dreams become a reality. One way or another and through the thick of it all. YOU SHOULD TOO! My dreams = my responsibilities. However every so often I have random backseat drivers drop their wise words of motivation like this... “For every one person who succeeds, a hundred thousand fail.” And they say it on the basis that due to this, I will likely fail, so why bother. TRULEY with an attitude like that, for sure we are going to fail. But those odds...
