🎯 Five Years Ago, I Had No Plan… Now I Run a Business Out of a Warehouse

Yo Yo! Reader,

Are you a drifter or one to stick to the course?

Let’s talk about something I love to talk about... having a plan. Not just wishing, not just hoping, but actually setting a clear strategy to create the life you want.

Too many people wait for things to happen, assuming success, happiness, or opportunity will magically land in their lap.

But the truth? Without a plan, you’re just drifting.

🤷🏻‍♂️ Life & Thoughts

Now if you are new here! Howdy! I like to share whats on my mind, my thoughts and also continue to remind, share, encourage and inspire others to aspire further in their own lives. Which is the relevant topic today.

Let me put things in perspective from my POV.

Let me take you back five years. I had just left my cushy corporate job. A stable 9-to-5 with a six-figure salary and stepped into the unknown. Yes I had a safety net of my work life savings - but I didn't have a detailed roadmap - just an idea and a plan to START... build a business, document the journey, and see where it goes.

I had no warehouse. No employees. No system. Just a handful of eBay listings, a secondhand printer, and a dream that I hoped would work. But hope doesn’t build businesses... action does.

I quickly learned that "winging it" is not a strategy.

If I wanted to turn this into something real, I needed a plan. Not a perfect one. Not an overcomplicated one. Just a clear direction and the commitment to keep showing up.

Fast forward to now: I run my business out of a 266sqm warehouse, I have employees, I’ve scaled my revenue beyond what I made in corporate, and I’ve documented every step of the journey. no revenue is not profit (still to come) but we are profitable*

Was it smooth? Nope.
Was it predictable? Not even close.
Did I ever feel like giving up? More times than I can count.

But here’s what I figured out along the way:
📌 Without a plan, you’ll drift. I spent too long hoping things would fall into place. They didn’t—until I made them.
📌 Clarity creates momentum. The moment I defined what I wanted, progress sped up.
📌 Execution beats excuses. If I waited for the "perfect" time, I’d still be waiting.

Let me play it back to you - ask yourself:

Do You Actually Know What You’re Working Toward?

Before you worry about execution, ask yourself:
âś” What do you actually want in life?
âś” What would leveling up look like for you?
âś” If you could create your ideal future, what would it include?

If you don’t have clear answers, you’re running in circles. Clarity creates momentum.

Why “Winging It” Keeps You Stuck

🚫 No plan? You’ll stay in the same place for years.
🚫 No direction? You’ll let life happen to you instead of shaping it.
đźš« No strategy? Every setback feels like a dead end instead of just a detour.

The people you see constantly growing? It’s not luck. It’s intention + action.

Excuses vs. Execution

A lot of people talk about what they want… but then come the excuses:
❌ “I don’t have time.”
❌ “It’s too expensive.”
❌ “What if I fail?”

The real question is: Do you want it enough to do what it takes?
👉 If yes, you’ll find a way.
👉 If not, you’ll find an excuse.

Shift Your Mindset—Win the Long Game

📌 Stop waiting for the “right time” and start now.
📌 Make decisions based on your future self, not your current fears.
📌 Stop worrying about how long it will take—focus on how far you can go.

Final Thought: Your Plan = Your Success

⚡ You can drift through life, or you can take control.
⚡ You can hope for change, or you can make it happen.
⚡ You can keep waiting, or you can start NOW.

So the big question is...

What is you plan?

Business Snapshot for 2025 (currently):

This week has been a ROLLERCOASTER week - though we are progressing nicely into the Warehouse; there are new challenges and moments which I have never experienced before. (that is the beauty of stepping out of our comfort zones).

Sales have picked back up - we are still averaging $1,066 per day revenue for 2025 - now to keep it growing!

Profit - we have a lot to catch up on from all these expenses. One day at a time.

Yo! Reader, This week… felt like a shift. Not a “we’ve made it” moment. Not a “everything is solved” moment. But one of those weeks where you step back and go: “Okay… we’re moving again.” And after a stretch of frustration, doubt, and questioning everything… That matters more than people realise. Yo! Reader, This week felt different. Not perfect. Not magical. Not “we’ve made it” different. But different in the kind of way that reminds you what’s possible when things finally start to click again. And after a few tougher weeks, I won’t lie… I needed that. Maybe you do too. Yo! Reader, And just like that… another week gone. Honestly, they’re flying at the moment. Some weeks feel long when you’re inside them, but when you step back and look at it — it’s like the calendar just keeps flipping pages. This week has been… better. Not perfect. Not exactly where I want things to be. But better. And right now, I’ll take better.
